Community Event Rescheduled for Wednesday, February 19, 2025
Rock Hill, South Carolina – The City of Rock Hill Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will host the rescheduled community event on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 11 AM to celebrate the significant renovations made to the historic Ralph W. McGirt Auditorium at Emmett Scott Recreation Center. The event was rescheduled due to the recent winter storm. The public is invited to attend the event which will take place inside the Auditorium, 801 Crawford Road.
City officials will share the history and vision for the facility and its continued role as a pillar of the community on the southside of Rock Hill. Local music group, Plair, will perform a special musical selection during the event.
After the program, attendees can tour the facility to see the interior, exterior and technological improvements that will attract a wide range of performances and events, many of which are expected to create an economic benefit for the city. Tours will continue until 5 PM.
