South Carolina Federal Credit Union has officially launched its 15th annual scholarship program, offering $45,000 in scholarships to nine deserving students across the state. The program is open to high school and undergraduate students planning to attend a traditional or technical college in South Carolina for the fall 2025 semester. The deadline for applications is 11:59 p.m. EST on January 31, and winners will be announced in April 2025.
Empowering Students to Give Back
Applicants are required to submit a short essay highlighting how their education will empower them to positively impact their communities and improve the lives of South Carolinians. Additionally, they must provide information about their academic achievements, volunteer work, professional experience, and financial need.
Scholarship Details
The scholarships are divided into traditional and technical college categories:
•Traditional College Category:

| 2nd Place | $8,000 |
| 3rd Place | $6,000 |
| 4th Place | $4,000 |
| Honorable Mention | $2,500 |
| Honorable Mention | $2,500 |
•Technical College Category:
| 1st Place | $5,000 |
| 2nd Place | $4,000 |
| 3rd Place | $3,000 |
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
•Be a high school or undergraduate student
•Maintain an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
•Be a legal U.S. resident
