York Comprehensive High School recently celebrated outstanding students who embody the values of Community, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (CARE) through their Cougar CARE initiative. These students were chosen from a pool of over 179 participants who earned Cougar Cash for demonstrating positive behavior and contributing to the school’s vibrant and supportive environment during November and December.
Eight students were randomly selected to receive special Cougar CARE swag baskets, representing the pillars of the program:
- Community: Kayden Williamson and Natalie Branham
- Accountability: Ferdenando Starnes-Guerrero and Reno Idahenre
- Respect: Cesar Ostolaoza and Justyce Kennedy
- Excellence: Ashlyn Mason and Leslie Rosas
In addition to these honorees, twelve students were recognized for their spontaneous acts of CARE, further showcasing their dedication to fostering a culture of kindness and responsibility. These students are:

- Jakiyah Lowry
- Liberty Daves
