The Clover Police Department is excited to announce that it will be hosting its annual Citizens Academy in 2025. This popular program is designed to educate and increase the public’s understanding of police policies and practices.
What to Expect
The Citizens Academy will offer a variety of topics, including:
- Police officer training and expectations
- Traffic laws and enforcement
- Use of force
- Taser and OC spray
- Specialized units
- And more!
Who Can Attend
Anyone 18 years of age or older is eligible to attend. All potential applicants will be subject to a background check. While priority will be given to residents of Clover, anyone may apply.
When and Where
Classes will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM for eight weeks, starting on May 1, 2025. The classes will take place at the Clover Police Department, located at 112 Bethel Street.
Cost
There is no charge to attend the Citizens Academy. However, participants are required to attend six of the eight weeks of training to be eligible for graduation.
