Rock Hill posted the most lopsided result of Week 5 in York County flag football, shutting out York 57 to 0, while Fort Mill beat crosstown rival Nation Ford 32 to 14. All four games were played at South Pointe High School in Rock Hill.
Legion Collegiate Academy defeated Northwestern 19 to 10, and host South Pointe beat Catawba Ridge 42 to 20 to round out the week’s schedule.
Fort Mill Wins the Crosstown Game
The Fort Mill and Nation Ford matchup carries extra weight in a town served by both schools, and Fort Mill came away with an 18 point win. Nation Ford scored twice but could not keep pace with the Fort Mill offense.
Rock Hill Shuts Out York
Rock Hill put up 57 points and held York scoreless, the widest margin of any game this week.
Legion Collegiate Holds Off Northwestern
The closest game of the week went to Legion Collegiate Academy, which scored 19 points and held Northwestern to 10 for a nine point win.
South Pointe Pulls Away From Catawba Ridge
Playing on its home field, South Pointe scored 42 points against Catawba Ridge, which put 20 on the board in the loss.
