Burlington, N.C.— Senior Constanca Mendonca finished 8th while helping the Winthrop women’s golf team to a 7th place finish at the Elon Invitational, Tuesday afternoon.

- Constanca Mendonca led the Eagles with a T8 finish after a final round of 1-over
- This is the 10th Top 10 finish of Mendonca’s collegiate career
- Mendonca was two over after three holes, but settled in to go 1-over the rest of the way on a day the course played nearly two strokes tougher than the second round
- Freshman Avery Suter had the next best finish at T25
- Winthrop finished 7th in Par 4 and Par 5 scoring while finishing tied for 9th in Par 3 scoring
- Mendonca led the team in Par 3 scoring (+1), tied for 4th best among the field
- Mendonca also led in Par 4 scoring (+4) while Suter led in Par 5 scoring (-3)
