Rock Hill, S.C. — The Big South Conference has announced its women’s soccer weekly awards and Winthrop senior midfielder Monssi Avila-Gutierrez was tabbed the conference’s Co-Offensive Player of the Week.
Avila-Gutierrez recorded her first hat trick of her career, and Winthrop’s first since 2022, on Sunday afternoon’s win over South Carolina State.
The North Augusta, S.C. native now has her first conference weekly award of her career in Rock Hill as she put on a show on her Senior Day.
She currently leads the Eagles in scoring with four goals and eight points this season as she has proven to be one of the most productive players in the Big South.
