“Pat or Patsy”, 91 of Fort Mill passed away Saturday September 5, 2026. She was formerly a 20-plus year resident of Charlotte Nc, Lancaster Sc and Surfside Beach. Pat was a two-time breast cancer survivor, living her life to the fullest. She earned her nursing degree in her 40’s , working at Lancaster Recovery Center for over 20 years. She loved to play bridge for over 70 years. She took up golf in her later years and enjoyed playing at the beach. Her greatest love was traveling all over the world many times with friends ,especially Lois. She loved to shop ,being known as queen of shopping . She was a feisty mom and grandma who loved her children, grandkids and great grands a lot. She is survived by three children, Lisa Terry (Don ) Bryan Rowell(Teresa ) and Kimberly Rowell Jacobs(Steve), 5 grandchildren, Christopher(Kisha), David, Anna, John, Daniel and 2 great grandchildren, Lawlis Reign and Wylder Reign. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday September 20 from 2 – 4 at Kim’s house -544 Sweet Peach Lane Ft. Mill in Springfield subdivision All are welcome to come eat, laugh and share stories of our mom.

Thomas Hyslip lives in Tega Cay with his wife and daughter. After 27 years in the U.S. Army and Federal Law Enforcement, he retired to pursue his passion for teaching. Tom is now an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida. In 2 short years he has won 10 awards from the South Carolina Press Association, including first place in column writing, education beat reporting and best podcast.
