An investigation is underway after a Sunday evening disturbance at a Fort Mill residential complex left one person dead and another hospitalized as reported by WBTV.
Fort Mill Police officers responded to the Cascades condominium complex on Delta Drive around 6:20 p.m. Aug. 16. Upon arrival, officers discovered one individual deceased at the scene and a second person suffering from injuries.
Emergency medical services transported the injured individual to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have not yet released an update on their condition.
Police have shared minimal details regarding the exact nature of the disturbance, and the identities of both individuals are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and further investigation.
Fort Mill Police emphasized that the situation was contained and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation remains active as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
