July 30, 2026, YORK, SC – A Special Republican Primary for US Senate will be on Tuesday, Aug. 11 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Early Voting will be Wednesday, Aug. 5 through Friday, Aug. 7, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Many polling places will serve voters from multiple precincts. Voters are encouraged to verify where they vote at YorkCountySC.gov/vote.
Voters who participated in the June Republican Primary or did not vote in either party’s June primary are eligible to vote in the special primary. Voters who voted in the June Democratic Primary are NOT eligible to vote in the Special Republican Primary.
To view their sample ballots and verify their registrations prior to visiting a polling place, voters can visit scVOTES.gov. Voters who have moved and not updated their addresses must cast their ballots at the polling place where they are registered or at the Board of Voter Registration and Elections office in York, not at the polling place for the precinct where they have moved.
Early Voting locations are open each day from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

During Early Voting and on Tuesday, Aug. 11, eligible voters must cast their ballots at the polling
place for their assigned precinct with a current, valid South Carolina or Federal Photo ID. No one may enter the polling place if they have any type of campaign material or weapon.
Items of note:
Voters must be registered no later than Friday, July 10 in person, Sunday, July 12 online, or
Monday, July 13 via USPS postmark to be eligible to vote in the Special Election
Campaign material is prohibited within 500 feet of any entrance to the polling place
Voters’ ballots are to remain secret and are not allowed to be shown or photographed
Election results will be posted at YorkCountySC.Gov/vote, predicted to be after 9 p.m. At each polling place, results for that location are posted once the poll closes and are available for viewing.
