Columbia, S.C. (July 20, 2026) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation will temporarily close Kingsburry Road at SC 557 in York County to facilitate a new intersection alignment on July 27.
The estimated duration of the closure is 15 days, depending on weather.
During the closure, crews will realign Kingsburry Road in preparation for the future connection to Ridge Road. This intersection will include a traffic signal in its final configuration. The entire project is expected to be completed by late spring 2027.
SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention to crews when driving through the area.
