Eight student-athletes from Fort Mill, Clover, and Legion Collegiate Academy earned spots on the 2026 South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association North all-star lacrosse rosters, the association announced.
The SCACA selections recognize some of the state’s top high school lacrosse players, who will represent the North region in matchups against an all-star squad from the South. The annual showcase highlights athletes who stood out during the spring season and gives them a final opportunity to compete alongside peers from across the upstate.
Fort Mill leads local selections
Fort Mill High School placed the most local players on the combined boys and girls rosters, with four selections. On the boys side, Charlie McGuire and Chase Barrinton-Hughes were named to the North roster. The Fort Mill girls program also landed two selections, with Rylee Raiter and Molly Bennett earning spots.
The Yellow Jackets have built a strong lacrosse program on both the boys and girls side in recent seasons, and the four selections reflect the depth the program has developed.
Clover places three
Clover High School athletes earned three roster spots between the two teams. Aiden Hawkins and Jake Nicely were selected for the North boys roster, while Mylah Caputo was named to the North girls roster.
The Blue Eagles continue to be a regular contributor to the state’s lacrosse talent pool, and this year’s selections add to that track record.
Legion Collegiate represented on boys roster
Jaxson Smithers of Legion Collegiate Academy in Indian Land was also named to the North boys roster. Legion Collegiate has continued to draw lacrosse talent and gain recognition through statewide selections like this one.
About the all-star game
The all-star game is sponsored by the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association, which organizes annual all-star events across multiple high school sports. The rosters are selected with input from coaches around the state.
In its announcement, SCACA congratulated the selected athletes and said it looked forward to seeing them showcase their skills on the field.
