South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson has announced the arrest of Chad Price Donahue, 30, of Lancaster, on multiple felony charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor.
The arrest was carried out by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation was a collaborative effort involving members of the state’s ICAC Task Force, including investigators from the Attorney General’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations.
Authorities were led to Donahue following a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). According to investigators, Donahue was found to be in possession of and distributing files containing child sexual abuse material.
Donahue was taken into custody on May 1, 2026. He currently faces three felony counts:
-
One count of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, which carries a potential sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
-
Two counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, each also punishable by up to 10 years of imprisonment.
The Attorney General’s Office will handle the prosecution of the case. In accordance with legal standards, Attorney General Wilson noted that Donahue is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
