Future Educators Celebrate Signing Day at York Comprehensive High School

York, SC – Twelve York Comprehensive High School students will be continuing their academic careers at the collegiate level.

Tuesday, April28, 2026, students signed national letters of intent during a ceremony in the York Comprehensive High School Media Center surrounded by staff, teachers, friends and family members.

“These students impress us every day, said Jenna Markey, Principal of York Comprehensive High School, “we’re super excited for their next steps to go and give back and to inspire the next generation when they find themselves in their own classrooms. We could not be more proud.”

“Education is the profession of all professions,” said Superintendent Branham. “Your job is a responsibility and an opportunity to shape all other jobs. I’m very proud of all of you. You’re joining a noble profession, and never let anyone else tell you you’re not.”
