CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Carowinds is gearing up to deliver a season full of thrills, chills, and festive fun this fall, as the park announces its lineup of events that promise something for everyone.
This year, Carowinds is introducing two new family-friendly Halloween events alongside the much-anticipated return of SCarowinds, the park’s signature Halloween attraction. Notably, for the first time since its inception in 2000, SCarowinds will be included in the general admission ticket, allowing visitors to enjoy both daytime activities and nighttime scares without the need for a separate ticket.
The new Tricks and Treats event will run from September 14 to October 27, every Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. This family-oriented Halloween celebration will feature a range of activities including themed games, a pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating throughout the park, costume contests, live shows, dance parties, and the Tricks and Treat Parade.
In addition to the Halloween fun, Carowinds will also host Oktoberfest on weekends from September 14 to November 2, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visitors can indulge in authentic German cuisine, beer, and music while participating in yard games, a stein-holding contest, and a brat-eating contest.
Starting September 13, Carowinds will transform into a Halloween haven with the return of SCarowinds, one of the Carolinas’ largest Halloween attractions. Running on select nights through October 27, SCarowinds will offer four scare zones, five mazes, and four live shows, providing plenty of spine-tingling entertainment for thrill-seekers.
Tickets for Carowinds start at $49.99. For more information on the fall events and to purchase tickets, visit the park’s official website.
