LazyBirds Band Returns to Lancaster Cultural Arts Center for an Evening of Classic American Roots Music

Lancaster, SC – Get ready for a foot-stomping good time! The perennial favorites, the LazyBirds Band, are making their highly anticipated return to the Lancaster Cultural Arts Center (CAC) on Saturday, March 14, 2026. The concert kicks off at 6:30 PM, promising a lively evening of classic American roots music.

Hailing from the mountains of North Carolina, the LazyBirds are renowned for their infectious, good-time music that seamlessly blends a variety of genres. Concertgoers can expect a dynamic setlist ranging from traditional Appalachian tunes and soulful blues to energetic pop and beyond. Their sound is described as “just about impossible not to move to,” making for a perfect early springtime outing.

The talented lineup for the evening features band leader Jay Brown, who will lead on vocals while showcasing his skills on guitar and harmonica. He is joined by James T. Browne on drums; Brad Pope playing the mandolin and tenor guitar; Mitch Johnston bringing the rhythm on upright bass, rhythm guitar, and tuba; and Oliver Johnston on piano. In true collaborative spirit, all band members will share in the vocal duties throughout the performance.

The concert will take place from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lancaster Cultural Arts Center, located at 307 West Gay St., in the heart of historic downtown Lancaster, SC.
