Clover High School Trumpet Ensemble Named National Semi-Finalists

CLOVER, S.C. — The Clover High School Trumpet Ensemble has achieved a prestigious distinction, earning a spot in the 2026 National Trumpet Competition Semi-Finals.

The ensemble’s selection places them in an elite tier of high school musicians. According to the announcement, the group is one of only ten ensembles in the entire nation to rank and qualify for the live round of this year’s competition, which will take place in Iowa.

A National Honor

Representing the “Bands of Clover,” the ensemble’s success highlights the strength of the school’s music program on a national level. The students will now prepare to travel to Iowa to compete live against the other top-ranked groups in the country.

The Ensemble

The 2026 Semi-Finalist ensemble consists of seven student musicians:

  • Alexander Aull

  • Adam Feld

  • James Gilkeson

  • Izzy Jackson

  • Michael Jenkins

  • Joshua Seon

  • Zachary Tiller

The group is led by directors Courtney Wyatt and Dr. Marisa Youngs.
