Afaithful member of First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Scruggs served in many capacities, including teaching Sunday School, sponsoring youth groups, serving as treasurer of the Jones Robinson-Pressly Circle, and designing church bulletin boards. She was also a member of the New Era Book Club and the Lancaster County Retired Educators Association, and she volunteered with HOPE in Lancaster.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Scruggs Seebeck (Clay) of Moore, South Carolina; her son, Mark Hamilton Scruggs (Marianne) of Winnipeg, Canada; an honorary daughter, Selena Crace (David) of Huber Heights, Ohio; her grandchildren, Tobias Hamilton Scruggs, Anna Blair Seebeck, and Taylor Marie Scruggs; her sister-in-law, Guylene Burgess of Canton, North Carolina; and her brother-in-law, Steve Sizemore (LaDonna) of Weaver, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Michael Douglas Scruggs and her parents, Donald and Gertrude Hamilton.
The Graveside Service for Mrs. Scruggs will be held privately on Friday, January 23rd, 2026, at Lancaster Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Jonathan Williams.
The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church for a reception as they gather to remember Mrs. Pat and celebrate her life.
