Demmerle, Williams Lead Fort Mill’s Track Sweep of Clover

Fort Mill’s track and field teams showcased their strength and depth on March 19th, securing decisive victories over Clover in both the boys’ and girls’ meets. The Yellow Jackets delivered impressive performances across a wide range of events, highlighting their athletes’ dedication and talent. Full results and photo gallery follow.

Boys’ Meet Highlights:

The Fort Mill boys dominated the track, demonstrating speed and endurance. Standout performances included:

• Sprints:
  • Brandon Moore and Jahzir Mccants delivered a 1-2 punch in the 100m dash, clocking 11.14 and 11.16 respectively. Mccants also took first place in the 200m dash with a time of 22.57.
  • Wyatt Gremillion won the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.93.
• Distance:
  • Connor Demmerle displayed his endurance, winning both the 1600m (4:23.56) and 3200m (9:48.49) races.
  • Isaac Campbell won the 800 meter run with a time of 2:03.10.
• Hurdles:
  • JORDAN WALTER dominated the hurdle events winning the 110 meter hurdles and the 400 meter hurdles.
• Field Events:
  • Smith Stapleton demonstrated his throwing prowess, winning the discus (44.32m) and shot put (13.97m).
  • Latrell Ellison from Clover won the high jump with a height of 1.88m.
  • Zaben DeJacimo from Clover won the long jump with a distance of 6.17m.
  • Dominic Hamliton from Clover won the triple jump with a distance of 12.37m.
  • PADYN GOSSETT-MCDOWELL won the pole vault with a height of 3.48m.
  • Louis Helms from clover won the Javelin with a distance of 46.79m.
• Relays:
