Continental Tire and USF Pro Championships Continue Strong Partnership

Fort Mill, SC – A new season of competition for the USF Pro Championships Presented by Continental Tire started on the weekend of February 28th to March 2nd on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida. The top two rungs on the world-renowned open-wheel driver development training ladder, USF Pro 2000 and USF2000, have attracted a strong entry list of over 40 talented young drivers.

Uniquely in the world of motorsports, the USF Pro Championships offer substantial scholarships which will enable each series’ champion to progress to the next level of the sport. The quest to claim two of those coveted prizes, valued at close to $1 million, begins with this weekend’s Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, held on a challenging and unforgiving 1.8-mile, 14-turn temporary circuit comprised of downtown streets and one of the runways at the adjacent Albert Whitted Airport.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with the USF Pro Championships,” said Brian Beierwaltes, Head of Marketing US PLT, Continental Tire. “Our brand focuses on delivering premium performance products, and this partnership allows us to connect with an engaged audience and showcase our commitment to the automotive industry. We look forward to elevating this series and creating an exciting experience for all.”

Dan Andersen, Owner and CEO of Andersen Promotions, added, “We are anticipating an incredibly exciting season this year. The level of talent and competition is higher than ever, and with Continental Tire as our partner for the second year, we are confident that this season will be one of the best yet. We look forward to seeing the drivers push the limits and showcase their skills on the track. Our continuing partnership with Continental Tire is a testament to our shared commitment to excellence and the development of future racing stars.”

This season promises to be particularly thrilling as, for the first time in USF Pro Championships history, two reigning champions will go head-to-head. Max Garcia will line up opposite Max Taylor, from Hoboken, N.J., who is stepping up with VRD Racing after winning the USF Juniors championship and finishing third in the USF2000 title chase last year with four race wins to his name.

Overall, the 2025 season is shaping up to be one of the most competitive and exciting yet, with a high level of talent and competition expected throughout the series
