Community Event Wednesday, January 22 Celebrating the Improvements
Rock Hill, South Carolina – The City of Rock Hill Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department will host a community event Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at 11 AMto celebrate significant renovations made to the historic Ralph W. McGirt Auditorium at Emmett Scott Recreation Center, 801 Crawford Road. The public is invited to attend the event which will take place inside the auditorium.
City officials will share the history and vision for the facility and its continued role as a pillar of the community on the southside of Rock Hill. Local music group, Plair, will perform a special musical selection during the event.
After the program, attendees can tour the facility to see the interior, exterior and technological improvements that will attract a wide range of performances and events, many of which are expected to create an economic benefit for the city. Tours will continue until 5 PM.
