The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is urging the public to assist in identifying a man linked to a string of package thefts in the Indian Land area. The sheriff’s office issued a notice on Monday, accompanied by a “Porch Pirate Alert” posted on their Facebook page.
Surveillance videos from residents show a man brazenly walking onto porches, grabbing packages, and quickly fleeing the scene in a vehicle. The series of thefts has sparked growing concern in the community, with additional residents coming forward online to report missing packages since the notice was released.
In their post, the sheriff’s office stated:
“We are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying this individual who is wanted for questioning regarding package thefts in the Indian Land area.”
